making molecules sumative

The molecule that I am making is vitamin c the formula for vitamin c is C6H8O6, some animals can create this molecule but humans have to get it from food. Vitamin c is useful for a number of things, one of them is iron absorption, taking vitamin c along with iron can increase how much iron the body absorbs, another thing that vitamin c is used for is improving a genetic disorder in newborn baby's called tyrisinemia taking vitamin c helps with the genetic disorder by lowering the levels of amino acid tyrosine.

Learning about molecules is important because molecules make every thing around us and if we know about them we can use that knowledge for medicine technology and many other things.For example in medicine we need to know what molecules are used to make medications and how reactive they are, if you know the structure of the molecule you can see what are their properties and how it can help improve medication. another example could be technology this is because using the things we know about molecules we can make technology better and faster by understanding the properties of each molecule.

summative particle behaviour


-How clothes dry at room temperature?
because the water drips of the shirt and room temperature gives the particles enough energy to drip off the shirt and get the shirt to be dry.

-How liquid boils at a lower temperature when at a heir altitude
because of the density of the air at a lower altitude the air is more dense and the vapor needs more energy to go into the air because there is no space, at a higher altitude the air is less dense so the vapor needs less energy because there is more space for the vapor.
here the picture shows the particles represented by the vapor and his nose it shows how the particles are going into his nose by getting sucked up
-why can we smell things around corners
because when  we smell something we are sucking in small particles of the object so if you smell a doughnut you are smelling doughnut particles and your nose acts like a vacum that is sucking in the particles so if you breathe in and there are particles around a corner you are making them go around the cornier by pulling them into your nose

-how are drops made
drops are made because water molecules have the same density of solid but the difference what makes them liquid is that the molecules are constantly moving when drops are made the liquid drips down and when gravity acts a liquid part detaches from the big part in a drop form extending towards the ground until it detaches totally from the big amount of water.
 here the drop is detaching from the bigger part of water because of gravity and it is still extending towards the ground.

making tea

I learned that the more energy that you give to a atom the more it spreads out  that example was when we gave heat energy to the particles and the tea spread really fast, particles are always vibrating and when you give them more energy they vibrate faster and harder to that result they spread faster.

 The less energy you give to a particle the less it vibrates end the more compact it stays, as seen in the example when we made tea with cold water the tea particles didnt have much energy so they didn't spread as fast.

potential and kinetic enrgy

Where do objects get their energy from it depends a human from eating and having a chemical reaction, the bow and arrow by having elastic energy, and a radio from a electric source.

Energy cant be destroyed or crated but it can be converted like you can convert mechanical energy to sound and chemical to light like when you snap a glow in the dark stick.
Different forms of energy can be combined to make an object do something, like when you throw something to something you are using chemical energy of your food to mechanical and elastic of your muscles then gravitational when you throw it up and then when it falls friction is made and that friction makes heat.
Kinetic energy is energy that makes an object move like when you have a chemical reaction that makes a rocket move like bicarbonate-sodium and vinegar pushing a rocket up into the sky.
Potential energy is energy stored in a object like a battery the energy stored can be transformed into other energy.

Why is it important? humans fear the unknown when you know something well you don't fear it you feel confident and have less chance of injury.

Carts and ramps Kinetic energy and velocity


Kinetic energy means movement energy so if I have a lot of kinetic energy I have a lot of movement energy moving me, the more it is, the harder it moves the faster you go if you have a lot of kinetic energy your velocity is greater. I learned that I kinetic energy and speed work together in a way because without kinetic energy there can not be speed and that kinetic energy can come from gravitational mechanical chemical all sorts of energies. 








The velocity is increasing at a constant rate 
while the cart is going down the ramp
 but once it has reached the maximum
seed and it already has come
 down from the ramp the speed starts
 descending because of the friction
 and eventually coming to a complete stop

At the  start the kinetic energy 
does not have much this is because it is just
gaining the energy and it is barely moving
then it starts increasing because the inclination
of the ramp is making it have more
kinetic energy more force,
them it reaches the highest point of kinetic
energy and it starts decreasing because it
no longer has the ramp giving
it the kinetic energy it needs.
The kinetic energy gets transformed into sound

Both graphs look like this because it start slow and starts increasing then when it reaches max speed and or max kinetic energy the ramp can give it starts descending because of the friction of the wheels.
